Elderly mother has severe AMD and these glasses are the only ones she'll use. On cloudy, gray days they give more detail and eliminate glare, but she wears them year-round. We couldn't go outside if she didn't have these. Normal tints are too dark. They are even good inside some brightly-lit stores.
