I've worn them from everything from Sportfishing to Softball to everyday use. A hinge broke on the earpiece after two years of use, so I'm ordering my second pair. I'm also sending these back to Costa for repair so that I'll have two pair. I tried polarized Oakley's but they scratched within a couple months. My 580's still don't have a scratch after two years. If you're hard on equipment, spend the extra on the 580's instead of buying the 400's.
